Seoul, South Korea, February 9, 2015 (Newswire.com) - In today’s busy society, a lot of distractions can arise during the workday that prevents people from taking the time to sit back and think about family or loved ones. In a fast-paced world, people are always on the go or too busy to chit chat with loved ones during the day. But usually there’s at least one thing that people tend to do during the day regardless of occupation or profession. Taking the time to have a cup of coffee or tea. Whether it’s night or day, people will stop to have a quick cup to unwind, take a break, discuss work, etc. Most of the time this comes in the form of paper or disposable cups. But the majority have their own tumblers or mugs that they carry around or leave at home or in the office. Plum, a company located in South Korea, has developed a tumbler/mug that allows users to sit back and minute and enjoy a cup of coffee with their loved ones, regardless of distance.
Plum has developed a smart tumbler and mug, named Tlinkle, that allows people to connect together anywhere in the world at anytime. Tlinkle connects to your Android smartphone via Bluetooth allowing instant connection to loved ones around the world. Through Tlinkle and the associated smart phone app people can share a cup off coffee or tea at anytime, anywhere. When someone grabs their cup not only does their Tlinkle light up, but the person on the other end receives an LED notification that the cup is being held. When both hold the cup at the same time, the color will change to a pre-selected color of choosing. Not only does it work for couples, but families can take advantage of Tlinkle as well. When one member of the family grabs their Tlinkle, the others will light up letting them know that one of their members is enjoying a cup and inviting them to do the same. Even celebrities and their fans can enjoy some personal time together while having a cup of coffee. To avoid confusion, however, settings can be changed through the smartphone app allowing only specific people that hold their cup to notify others that they’re using Tlinkle.
The app is community based allowing as little as two people to up to thousands allowing large groups to connect. Once people register their community, which users will be allowed to send Tlinkle’s to their connected loved ones can be selected. Everyone can have the ability, or only a select few. The community page has built in forum and picture functions allowing the sharing of text and images. Tlinkle usage history will show when and how long prior sessions took place as well as previous comments. A separate photo album allows for easy photo sharing and a calendar tool allows for easy event sharing with your community. LED color selection and Tlinkle Time management can also be adjusted via the app as well.
